Lumecca IPL Photofacial

Harnessing the intrepid power of broadband light, our Lumecca IPL photofacial at Glo Aesthetics + Wellness  delivers powerful pulses of energy to the skin, helping to correct a variety of imperfections that include sun spots, age spots, rosacea, uneven skin texture, telangiectasias and enlarged pores. Using the Lumecca Device, your skin is revitalized on a cellular level, all without any incisions, downtime or anesthesia.

What Can I Expect From A Lumecca IPL Photofacial at Glo?

While IPL may sound like a delicious beer, it is actually one of the most popular and requested facial rejuvenation techniques in aesthetic medicine. IPL stands for intense pulsed light, and it helps restore the skin’s suppleness, lifting away imperfections and improving the appearance of vascular problems.
Because our Lumecca IPL photofacial at Glo Aesthetics uses a variety of wavelengths rather than a single one as laser treatments do, it causes less surface damage to the skin and is therefore considered to be a gentle yet effective treatment modality.
Unwanted skin pigments are destroyed, evening out the skin tone. While IPL is typically a painless experience, we can provide an additional layer of comfort by applying a numbing cream before your session.
Lumecca IPL Photofacial can be effective in treating the following:
Sun damage
Melasma
Rosacea
Rough skin
Freckles
Birthmarks
Scarring
Broken blood vessels
Enlarged pores
Signs of aging

Is Lumecca IPL Photofacial Right For Me?

Lumecca IPL Photofacial is most effective for untanned, fairer skin. Those with blotchy or sun damaged skin can benefit highly, as well as those suffering from rosacea. If you are taking the medication Accutane, you should not consider IPL until you have been off the drug for at least six months. Pregnant women should also abstain from IPL sessions until after they have given birth. Our office can help to determine if IPL is a match for your needs during your initial consultation.

How Much Downtime Can I Expect?

After your Lumecca IPL photofacial at Glo, you can gently reapply makeup and resume your normal activities. In some rare cases, there may be minor bruising, which will abate within about one week. Age spots and sun spots may initially appear darker before they disappear. If crusting occurs, rest assured this will diminish within 5-10 days.
